Vivace® microneedling facial treatment is an excellent way to rejuvenate your complexion without major surgery.  Individuals who want to reduce the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin texture can enjoy a radiant, more hydrated appearance with improved skin tone and texture.  Vivace microneedling helps patients achieve a more youthful glow.

How does the treatment work?

Vivace treatments are minimally invasive.  The microneedling device uses tiny gold-plated needles to create puncture wounds to the dermis, or middle layer of skin.  There is minimal discomfort; however, patients with sensitive skin can be treated with a numbing cream first.  Radiofrequency energy flows through the needles, without burning the skin, to help stimulate healing.  The microneedling stimulates the body’s production of new collagen and elastin, which provide firmness, structure, and help to prevent sagging skin.  After the procedure, specially formulated serums and the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be used to enhance results and soothe redness.

The use of radiofrequency energy distinguishes Vivace from other microneedling.  Vivace also uses LED light therapy to speed healing.  Vivace is more appropriate than other microneedling for treating deep wrinkles, skin laxity, and more significant acne scarring.

When will I see results?

Patients will notice improvements in texture, hydration, and overall appearance of their skin shortly after treatment.  Superficial scars and enlarged pores will be diminished, and skin will feel smoother and more refined.  Results will continue to develop over several weeks as new collagen and elastin are produced.  A series of three treatments is recommended.  Regular touchups will promote long-term results.

Which areas can be treated?

Facial areas that can be treated include the forehead, cheeks, under the eyes, nose and nasolabial folds, jawline, and chin.  Additional treatment areas can include the neck, decolletage, backs of the hands, thighs, and other areas with age-related skin concerns.
