You’re a good candidate for neck contouring if you’re bothered by sagging skin or excess neck fat (or both!), and you can’t target these issues through diet and exercise alone. The ideal candidate should be a nonsmoker who is committed to continuing with a healthy lifestyle.
You may notice your results right away, especially if you had a significant amount of neck fat or skin sagging around the jawline. However, optimal results usually won’t be visible until after a month or two of recovery, as this is when the majority of swelling and bruising have dissipated. Your results will include a smoother jawline profile, a more contoured neck, and a lot less sagging skin and wrinkles!
During the first week of recovery, you should expect to be a little uncomfortable, as this is when the majority of your swelling and bruising will be visible. Some patients may want to arrange for care during the first 48 hours of their recovery; however, you should be back on your feet around the third day.
You may be able to return to work in about a week, depending on Dr. Keusch’s ‘ approval. The majority of swelling and bruising should have gone down after six to eight weeks, although some slight swelling may be present for a few months after your procedure.
Throughout your recovery, you’ll have regular check-ins with Dr. Keusch to ensure your recovery is successful.
