SAY GOODBYE TO FLABBY ARMS AND ACHIEVE SCULPTED PERFECTION

Are you tired of feeling self-conscious about your upper arms? Arm contouring is a surgical procedure designed to address sagging arm skin and fat that may not be responding to diet and exercise alone. Arm lift surgery – also referred to as a brachioplasty – is an excellent option for patients who have poor skin laxity and therefore cannot tighten or tone their upper arms with exercise alone. Arm contouring has a high patient satisfaction rating, as it has helped many individuals feel more confident and happy showing off their upper arms!

HOW DOES ARM LIFT SURGERY WORK?

Your upper arm transformation begins with a thorough consultation with board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Cristina Keusch. Together you will discuss your aesthetic goals and she will assess whether you're a good candidate for the procedure. During the surgery, incisions are strategically made along the inner or back portion of the arms, allowing her to remove excess skin and fat. The remaining skin is then carefully tightened and re-draped to create a smoother, more toned appearance. Depending on the extent of correction needed, liposuction may also be used to further refine the contours of the arms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please feel free to contact our office directly if you have additional questions on arm lift surgery.

You’re a good candidate for arm contouring if you have sagging skin and fat on the upper arms. This sagging may be a result of aging or of significant weight loss; whatever the reason, the ideal candidate should be a nonsmoker who is committed to continuing with a healthy lifestyle.

Patients may see their results right away, especially if sagging is particularly pronounced. Some swelling and bruising will take place over the course of a month, but by the end of this recovery period, you’ll notice sleeker, younger, and more contoured-looking arms.

The majority of the recovery period takes about four to six weeks. During the first month, you should expect to minimize your arm movement; that includes avoiding lifting anything heavier than five pounds or raising your arms. You should be cleared to return back to work within one to two weeks, depending on your job. You may be cleared by Dr. Keusch to resume normal exercise at or around the six-week mark.

Throughout your arm contouring recovery, you’ll have regular check-ins with Dr. Keusch to ensure your recovery is successful.
