Patients may see their results right away, especially if facial sagging was particularly pronounced. Patients should expect noticeable swelling and bruising over the course of one to two months, with optimal results visible about six months to a year after the treatment. These optimal results include smoother, younger-looking skin; more well-rested eyes; minimized sagging skin around the jaw and neckline; and more!

Frequently Asked Questions
You’re a good candidate for a facelift if you have sagging skin around your mid-to-lower facial region. For example, if you’ve noticed that you have jowls around your jawline, sunken cheeks, loose skin on the neck, or neck bands, you could see significant results from a facelift procedure. The ideal candidate should be a nonsmoker who has realistic expectations for this procedure.
During the first week of recovery, you should expect tightness and mild discomfort; Dr. Keusch may prescribe a few days of pain medication to help manage discomfort. We recommend arranging for care at home, as you will have certain restrictions.
You may be able to return to work in about one to two weeks, depending on Dr. Keusch’s approval. Some patients opt to wait until the second week, when they’re able to cover post-op bruising with makeup. The majority of swelling and bruising should be gone at around the four-week mark, although minor swelling may still be present for several months after.
Throughout your recovery, you’ll have regular check-ins with your plastic surgeon to ensure your recovery is successful.
