Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center is now offering hair restoration treatments with our new Lutronic Ultra™ 1927nm Thulium laser. This is the same non-ablative laser that we use for skin rejuvenation treatments. This non-invasive treatment for hair regrowth works without the need for painful injections or surgery. Treatments are appropriate for men and women with early stage to moderate hair loss.
How does the treatment work?
The Lutronic Ultra™ laser is used in conjunction with the special KeraFactor® Serum. The laser creates thousands of microscopic channels in the scalp. These channels aid in the absorption of the serum, which contains concentrated growth factors and proteins. Dormant hair follicles are targeted to improve blood in the scalp and stimulate healthy hair growth.
What types of hair losses are addressed?
- Early-stage Androgenic Alopecia – the most common type of hair loss in men and women. This type of hair loss is hereditary. In men, it often begins with a receding hairline at the temples and thinning hair at the crown. Women may experience a widening center part and thinning at the top.
- General thinning and low density – Early to mid-stages of hair loss. Treatments can improve overall volume and thickness.
- Postpartum and stress-related hair loss – Excessive hair shedding after pregnancy, illness, or severe stress.
- Hormonal hair loss – Due to aging, menopause, or thyroid imbalance.
- Post hair transplant support – Treatments can also be used to improve healing after surgical hair transplants.
How many treatments will be needed?
Dr. Keusch recommends a series of 6 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart. Many people will see noticeable improvement after 3 or 4 treatments. Periodic maintenance treatments will help maintain the new hair growth.
