Erase Scars with Laser Precision: The Power of Painless Scar Removal

A laser scar treatment is a procedure that’s designed to minimize the appearance of acne, surgical, and trauma scars faster and with better results than through natural healing alone. A laser scar treatment is an excellent procedure for patients who may feel self-conscious about noticeable scarring, especially on the face or any other visible body area.
PALOMAR ICON LASER FOR SCAR REMOVAL

HOW DOES LASER SCAR TREATMENT WORK?

At Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center, we utilize the Palomar Icon Laser to effectively minimize the appearance of scarring. This FDA-cleared laser employs fractional laser light to break down scar tissue on all skin types and tones. The Palomar Icon laser is a revolutionary treatment that provides patients with a non-invasive and highly effective solution. By delivering targeted pulses of light energy into the skin, this advanced technology stimulates collagen production and promotes natural healing processes. Its precise wavelengths can be tailored to address various scar types, including acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. Over a series of treatments, the Palomar Icon laser helps to refine skin texture, diminish discoloration, and reduce the overall visibility of scars. The procedure is safe, relatively painless, and requires minimal downtime, offering a convenient option for those seeking to enhance the appearance of their skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please feel free to contact our office directly if you have additional questions about Laser Scar Treatment.

You’re a good candidate for laser scar treatment if you have noticeable acne or trauma scarring on your face, arms, legs, or any other body region. This treatment is most successful at targeting and treating scars that are relatively recent, as they’re closer to the surface. Laser scar treatments are not ideal for ice-pick scars. All candidates should be healthy individuals with realistic expectations for their results.

A typical laser scar removal session with the Palomar Icon Laser takes about 20 minutes to perform. This procedure is non-invasive, so patients can go in and out of their session without worrying about downtime or recovery.

It usually takes about two to four laser scar removal sessions for patients to see a significant reduction in acne and trauma scarring. Patients will notice clearer skin with a more even tone; additionally, the new skin growth can help improve the overall complexion.

There’s no downtime associated with laser scarring treatments, although the targeted site might be a little red and warm to the touch for a few days after the procedure. You should wear sunscreen after your scar removal session, as your skin may be vulnerable to the sun’s UV rays.
