TYPES OF BREAST IMPLANT REVISIONS
REVISION FOR CAPSULAR CONTRACTURE
This type of revision addresses the feel of the breast tightening and hardening of the scar tissue (capsule) surrounding the implant, which can cause discomfort and distortion of the breast shape.
IMPLANT REPLACEMENT
This involves removing the existing breast implants and replacing them with new ones, either to update the size, shape or type of implant or to address issues with the current implants.
BREAST LIFT WITH IMPLANT EXCHANGE
In cases where there is both a need for implant replacement and a desire to lift the breasts, this procedure combines the removal and replacement of implants with a breast lift to achieve a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
POCKET REVISION SURGERY
This type of revision addresses issues related to the positioning of the implants within the breast pocket, such as correcting implant displacement or adjusting the pocket to achieve better symmetry and aesthetics.
IMPLANT REMOVAL WITH OR WITHOUT REPLACEMENT
For individuals who wish to remove their breast implants entirely, this procedure involves the removal of the implants and potentially addressing any resulting changes in breast appearance or shape.
