You’re a good candidate for SmartLipo if you have stubborn pockets of fat that won’t respond to traditional diet and exercise. All candidates for SmartLipo should be healthy individuals who are committed to eating well and working out in order to maintain their results. SmartLipo is not a weight-loss solution.
Your results will include a more contoured and slimmer body profile, with a somewhat tighter skin tone. In many cases, patients note that they’re able to fit into their favorite outfits more comfortably and feel a lot more confident showing off their bodies.
You can expect to see results over the following six months when the majority of your swelling has gone down.
Recovery isn’t as intensive as with traditional liposuction, as the cannula isn’t used to manually break up fat (this is what produces a lot of the swelling and bruising associated with liposuction). However, depending on the areas treated, you could be back to work within just a few days and back to the gym within one week. A compression garment is generally worn for one month.
All recovery instructions are individualized and will be reviewed with you. Throughout your recovery, you’ll have regular check-ins with Dr. Keusch to ensure your recovery is successful.
