Are You Having Trouble Getting Rid Of a Tummy Pooch That Just Won’t Respond To Diet And Exercise?

Abdominoplasty – also known as a tummy tuck – is a surgical procedure designed to correct the appearance of a stomach “pooch.” Abdominoplasty is an excellent solution for clients who have recently given birth or dropped a significant amount of weight, as the tummy pooch is usually a result of abdominal wall damage. The ultimate goal of abdominoplasty is to help patients achieve a slimmer and more contoured stomach.

How Does It Work?

Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia. During this procedure, Dr. Keusch will repair damaged abdominal walls and lay them flat again. Once the abdominal walls are repaired, she trims away excess skin to help complement your newfound results. In some cases, liposuction may be added to the procedure to help show off a flatter stomach. The abdominoplasty procedure usually takes about two to three hours to perform, with extremely high patient satisfaction ratings.

Am I a Good Candidate for Abdominoplasty?

You’re a good candidate for abdominoplasty if you have a stubborn stomach pooch that won’t respond to diet and exercise. All patients should be nonsmokers with realistic expectations for their procedure.

*Individual Results May Vary

What Results Will I See?*

Patients may start seeing results within four to six weeks, as this is the period when a majority of post-op swelling has gone down. Final results may not be visible until about six months after surgery, which is when most surgical swelling has disappeared.

Results include a flatter, more contoured stomach that makes it easier for you to fit in your favorite pants or dress.

What is the Recovery Like?*

The majority of your recovery takes place over the course of six weeks; during the first week, you’ll spend much of your time recuperating at home. You’ll also need to wear compression garments around your stomach, as it can help reduce post-op swelling and bruising. You may be cleared to return to work about one to two weeks after your surgery, depending on the type of job you have.

Throughout your abdominoplasty recovery, you’ll have regular check-ins with Dr. Keusch to ensure your recovery is successful.
