Update from August 26, 2021

To our lovely patients at Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center,

I have received many phone calls and questions regarding the timeline for having an elective surgery after a COVID-19 diagnoses. Therefore, I would like to share the guidance my office recently received from the American Society of Anesthesiologists. The timing of elective surgery after recovery from COVID-19 utilizes both symptom and severity-based categories. It is important that if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 that you are honest with us when booking your initial in-person consultation. If you are unsure of the timing, but want to begin the consultation process, I am happy to offer virtual appointments.

Please let my reception staff know over the phone when you were diagnosed and if you were symptomatic or asymptomatic, as well as when your last known symptoms were. This allows us to schedule your visit in the most appropriate way to suit your needs and the needs of the practice.

It is our goal to provide you with a beautiful result from your elective procedure and cosmetic treatments, which I know you have been anxious to have performed. That is why my team follows strict medical guidelines for your safety and protection.

Suggested wait times from the date of COVID-19 diagnosis to elective surgery are as follows:

  • Four weeks for an asymptomatic patient or recovery from only mild, non-respiratory symptoms.
  • Six weeks for a symptomatic patient (e.g., cough, dyspnea) who did not require hospitalization.
  • Eight to Ten weeks for a symptomatic patient who is diabetic, immunocompromised, or hospitalized.
  • Twelve weeks for a patient who was admitted to an intensive care unit due to COVID-19 infection.

If you have any questions, my staff is more than happy to have a discussion with you. I look forward to helping you achieve the look you want on your cosmetic journey.

Stay safe and be well!

Dr. Cristina Keusch

Update from May 21, 2021

To our beautiful Patients at Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center,

We are very grateful to all of you for continuing to follow health and safety protocols during this transitional period. It will take time in the medical community to fully recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Since your health and safety is paramount, we will remain diligent about our cleaning protocols, social distancing, limiting the number of patients in the office at one time, and wearing masks during your appointments and surgeries.

We want to thank each and every one of you for your own diligence over the last year. We have been able to maintain a lovely and healthy working environment and place for patients to come and enjoy our services. It has been our sincerest pleasure to serve the Boca Raton Community and surrounding areas during this time and we are blessed that we were able to reopen after last spring and stay open all year. We love to see the joy of our patients during and after treatments as they strive to become the best versions of themselves.

If the last year has taught us anything, it is that life is precious. We are meant to love, live, and never put off for tomorrow what we should do today. Because we just don’t know what the future might hold for us.

With Love and Respect,

Dr. Keusch and Staff

Update from December 16, 2020

To my patients at the Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center,

What a year 2020 has been! I am so grateful to be able to serve the Boca Raton, FL community during this time of such uncertainty. Maintaining safe procedures and protocols while providing the highest level of care with the most beautiful outcomes has been my goal. I’m proud to say that my patients have never been happier!

Maybe this abundance of happiness is because we feel joy to be alive and pursue our personal goals and dreams for our minds & bodies. I’ve never had so many patients doing as much to improve their quality of life – in 30 years of serving this town! I love hearing all the stories of backyard yoga, reading on the beach, writing to relatives, after dinner meditation, and more – My head is spinning with so many lovely suggestions from patients on how to cope during the pandemic!

I feel strongly that before the pandemic we had a harder time admitting and communicating to ourselves that we needed any help, be it emotional or physical. I’m blessed to be part of this new self-loving, body and mind improving culture in Florida. We realize what it means to be alive and we want to make the most of our time by investing in personal improvements.

Sometimes the brightest light shines out of the darkest of times!

Continue to stay safe out there, follow & practice social distance. I am open 5 days per week to serve you. Call today and make an appointment.

xoxo,

Cristina Keusch, MD

Update from June 10, 2020

To my patients at the Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center,

We have been busy and are so happy to be back to work taking care of our patients!  After a short period of adaptation, we are now in the steady flow of clinical practice while minding all COVID-19 related precautions and protocols.  Please refer to our website for any special instructions and precautions for your next visit.  Also, feel free to call the office with any questions.

Here is an example of a recent patient who underwent facial surgery and laser resurfacing.  She is finding that her mask is an excellent form of camouflage during the short period of redness following the treatment.  Also, it is definitely helping to minimize sun exposure.  There is always a silver lining!

Be well and stay safe!  Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
