Interested in getting a breast lift to correct drooping and volume loss – but worried you won’t have the time to devote to recovery?
Take a look at the average recovery time for a breast lift, including steps you can take to have a recovery.
Recovery Time for a Breast Lift
While every patient is different, the average recovery time for a breast lift is about 4 to 6 weeks. Patients are usually able to return to work after the first week of recovery, or sooner, and are able to return to their normal exercise routines at the six-week mark.
How to Have a Successful Recovery
1. Have a good support system in place.
Recovery requires teamwork, as you will have some restrictions. That’s why we recommend having a good support system in place, like a partner who can pick up chores or family members who can stay with you for the first couple of days after surgery.
Breast Lift Consultations Available
2. Attend all follow-up appointments.
You’ll have regular follow-up appointments to ensure that your breast lift recovery is going well. Be sure to attend all of those appointments, as it gives your plastic surgeon the opportunity to check in on your healing, and you can ask any questions you might have about your recovery.
3. Take it easy!
A lot of patients feel pressured to get back into their normal routines as soon as possible. It’s understandable, especially given today’s busy society. But we encourage you to rest and relax as much as possible, as well as resist the temptation to push yourself before you’re ready. You’ll get back to normal life soon enough – so don’t push your body to heal before it’s actually healed!
Dr Keusch & her staff are the best. I couldn’t be happier with my experience from my first consultation to the last follow-up visit. Dr Keusch performed a breast reduction & lift. I couldn’t look any better or be any happier.
