What Results Will I See?*
Most patients can see initial results immediately after surgery, although the breast contour will evolve over time. You can usually see your early baseline results about 4 to 6 weeks after surgery when the majority of swelling and bruising have gone down. Final results can take up to a year to be visible, as minor changes in contour may take place over this time. Breast augmentation can produce excellent results, with many patients feeling incredibly satisfied with their enhanced bustline.
What is the Recovery Like?*
Most of the recovery takes place over the course of 6 to 8 weeks. During the first week, you should expect to spend plenty of time resting and recuperating at home. We recommend having a good support system in place at home, as your movements will be limited. You’ll also be required to wear a supportive bra which you will be wearing immediately after surgery. You may be cleared to return to work after only a few days, depending on the nature of your job. Within a few weeks, you may be able to wear normal bras as opposed to surgical compression bras. You may be cleared for physical activity at the four-week mark, depending on your doctor’s advice.
