How Does It Work?
Breast augmentation begins with a small incision around the areola, in the armpit, or underneath the curve of the breast, which allows your plastic surgeon to access the breast muscle. The breast implant is placed either beneath the breast muscle or above it; the placement will largely depend on your goals. The nipple may be repositioned to match your new breast shape. The incisions are finally closed after the procedure is done; all-in-all, it usually takes about one to two hours to perform.
Breast augmentation surgery is highly personalized to your specific needs. Dr. Cristina Keusch will work closely with you to ensure you understand how your breast augmentation surgery will be performed, and what you can expect for potential incision scarring after your procedure.
Am I a Good Candidate For Breast Augmentation?
You’re a good candidate for breast augmentation if you are unhappy with the size or shape of your breasts, and you want them to appear fuller. You should be a healthy individual with no history of high blood pressure, bleeding disorders, or other health conditions that could put you at risk during surgery.
All patients should have realistic expectations for their procedure.
How Much Does Breast Augmentation Cost?
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, it’s estimated that the average cost of breast augmentation surgery is $3,824. However, breast augmentation costs can vary differently depending on a variety of factors, including the implants you select. Dr. Keusch will meet with you to discuss your goals and can walk your options to help you achieve the breasts you desire.
