Are there areas of your body with pockets of stubborn fat?  Do you have skin that has lost elasticity over the years?  Would you like to tighten and tone these areas without surgery?  Then you may be a good candidate for Exilis Therapy.

How does Exilis Therapy work?

Exilis Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that tightens skin while shrinking fat cells.  Radiofrequency energy heats the targeted fat cells, causing them to break down and be eliminated.  The treatment increases the body’s production of collagen and elastin, which reduces skin laxity and helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.  For example, it’s effective in lifting sagging jowls and can tighten skin and reduce fat under the chin.  In other areas of the body, pockets of fat can be targeted.  The appearance of troublesome cellulite can be minimized.  Skin texture is enhanced and the body will look more youthful and better toned.  Exilis is an excellent alternative for people who are not ready to explore surgical options.

What areas can be treated with Exilis Therapy?

Exilis Therapy can be used on virtually any area including the face and neck.  It’s a popular treatment for parts of the body that haven’t responded well to diet and exercise and is often requested by men as well as women.  Exilis treatments can target unwanted fatty deposits on the upper arms, thighs, buttocks, hips, areas of “bra fat”, and love handles with good results.  Exilis Therapy can also be used to achieve additional body toning and contouring following liposuction and tummy tucks.

What are treatments like?

Treatments are easy to schedule.  Patients only needs to allow about 30 to 45 minutes out of their busy day, depending on the number of areas treated.  No anesthesia or numbing cream is necessary.  The patient just feels a pleasant, warming sensation, and there may be a slight redness which quickly fades.  There is no downtime after the procedure and no restrictions on activity.

Will I need more than one treatment?

Most patients will see improvement after a series of four to six treatments, each spaced a week apart.  Benefits of treatment include a complexion that looks younger and more radiant.  Bothersome areas of fat will be diminished, and clothing may fit better.  Overall results are lasting, with some patients needing an occasional touch-up treatment so that collagen production continues.
