Plasma Skin Regeneration (Plasma Resurfacing)

Portrait plasma skin regeneration (PSR 3) is an alternative to laser resurfacing . Plasma energy is used to reach deep into the dermis, the second layer of the skin, while leaving the skin surface intact for several days following treatment. As the new epidermis, the outer layer of the skin emerges, the old skin will start to shed. As there is less trauma than laser ablative procedures, healing is simpler and quicker. Recovery time is better tolerated. Over the ensuing few weeks and months, more collagen production occurs to give greater improvement. This technique is FDA cleared for use in nonfacial rhytids, as the lower energy settings are well tolerated in the torso and extremities, and a series of treatments may be provided.
