Laser Resurfacing
Skin resurfacing minimizes fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage. Laser resurfacing is an advanced method that uses a carbon dioxide laser to remove outer layers of skin. The laser is a beam of light that vaporizes the outer layers of damaged skin at controlled levels of penetration. By removing the old layers of skin, new skin is revealed that is tighter, smoother, and younger looking. This method reduces bruising, bleeding, and postoperative discomfort.
Dr. Keusch offers traditional CO2 laser resurfacing, as well as fractional CO2 laser resurfacing with the Fraxel Re:pair laser. Each modality offers special benefits. Please consult Dr. Keusch to determine which modality would be more ideal for you. The traditional CO2 laser is generally only used along the face or for selected spots beyond the face. Fraxel Re:pair laser may be used to resurface face, neck, chest, hands and arms.
