IPL Photofacials
IPL photofacial treatments are a series of full face, pulsed light treatments intended to improve the appearance of sun damaged (sun spots) and aging skin as well as, to reduce redness and flushing on the face and neck. Photofacials typically provide a 75%-90% improvement in the tone and appearance of the skin with little to no downtime. Other popular treatment areas include the chest and hands.
IPL photofacial treatments are performed at 4 week intervals for a series of 3-5 treatments. Most patients describe the sensation of the treatment to be like a snap of a rubber on the skin as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. Discomfort after treatment is minimal to nonexistent.
Treatments last approximately 30 minutes. Prior to IPL treatments, remove all make-up or creams. Eye shields or goggles are applied to protect the eyes. A soothing gel is applied to the skin prior to treatment, to help reduce discomfort. Post treatment guidelines are provided to take home with you.
