BRAVA and Natural Breast Augmentation with Fat Grafting
Dr. Cristina Keusch recently attended the Miami Workshop on Fat Grafting to the Breast sponsored by Dr. Roger Khouri and the BRAVA Corporation. Natural breast and body contouring may be achieved through fat grafting. Although this technique has been used for years in facial rejuvenation, it has more recently been adapted for breast augmentation and breast reconstruction.
It has also been used for buttock augmentation and reconstruction of soft tissue defects. Better techniques and methods of handling the fat have contributed to improved results.
The BRAVA external breast expander was developed to stimulate the breast to naturally augment its size. The BRAVA in conjunction with fat grafting can give the most ideal environment to receive and accept new fat. Dr. Keusch is now a co-investigator on a clinical study on this topic entitled, Breast Reconstruction and Augmentation with the BRAVA Enhanced Autologous Fat Micro Grafting.
