Arm Contouring
The upper arm may be excessively full related to excess fat. This may be a genetic tendency. Liposuction on the upper arm has improved over the years to allow more complete sculpting of this region.
If the upper arm exhibits excess skin, either from reduced skin elasticity or weight loss, brachioplasty may be indicated to contour the arm through skin reduction. Brachioplasty is the surgical procedure which removes excess skin from the upper arm. A limited incision brachioplasty is a modification of the traditional technique, limiting the incision to the underarm region. The traditional brachioplasty involves an incision extending along the upper inner arm which is concealed when the arms are down.
